Housed in the former Gare d’Orsay train station, the museum is home to one of France’s largest national art collections. Its highlights include an exceptional selection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, alongside sculptures, photographs, and decorative arts.

Considered one of Paris’s most prestigious museums, the Musée d’Orsay features iconic masterpieces such as *Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette* by Renoir, *Apples and Oranges* by Cézanne, several of Van Gogh’s self-portraits, and many other remarkable works.

Your ticket also grants access to the museum’s ongoing temporary exhibitions (without a reserved time slot).

Large bags are not permitted. Luggage up to 56 × 45 × 25 cm may be stored on site.
The late-opening rate applies on Thursdays for visits starting at 6:00 PM. The museum closes at 9:45 PM, with last entry at 9:00 PM.
The ticket is valid for one-time entry only on the selected date and time. You may stay as long as you wish but re-entry is not permitted once you leave the museum.
Admission to the Musée d’Orsay is free for everyone on the first Sunday of each month.
The Musée d’Orsay is closed every Monday, as well as on May 1 and December 25.
Orangerie opening hours: Monday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; Tuesday closed; Wednesday to Sunday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Closed on May 1, July 14, and December 25. Last entry at 5:15 PM; rooms close at 5:45 PM. Late opening on Fridays for special exhibitions.
The Musée d’Orsay will close at 6:00 PM on January 1, 2026.
